Know that only you get to control your reactions. Your reality is about how you interpret your life events and limited by your own thoughts and beliefs. Allowing yourself to live in the present moment and be content with where you are today is the beginning of building a more positive mental attitude. Don’t wait to start taking pleasure in your life–the only guarantee we have is this moment. Sometimes it takes conscious effort to enjoy the journey.
We talk to ourselves constantly throughout the day. It is believed that we have between 25,000 and 60,000 thoughts everyday. Internal talk is a mixture of negative, positive, and neutral thoughts—with the majority of these for many—being negative.
Most of these thoughts are a repetition of the thoughts we had yesterday, the day before, and the day before that.
